Most replacement screens at local repair shops are NOT genuine Apple parts They are all made by different manufacturers and 99% of customers will not know the difference. Computer Works feels YOU should know the difference!
For iPhone 5 to 11...a good quality aftermarket screen is just fine, However with iPhone XS and above...you will get a notification on your iPhone that it's "not a genuine apple part" It will work fine, but this could hurt the resale value and could be an issue when you trade it in. Also...the True Tone feature will most likely be lost. (not a huge deal for most users). The message may be persistent for few days, but then will go away, however in the SETTINGS of your phone...the message will be there forever. This is Apple's way of getting you to go them for a new screen
We are able to fix your iPhone with a genuine Apple part through Apple's Self Repair program...however this can take several days to complete. As we don't stock the parts.
• Many people feel they can go on Amazon or eBay and buy a replacement assembly for $29 and install themselves…This is easier said than done, You have to have experience and special tools to accomplish this properly. A YouTube video makes it look easy, but trust us, you need experience, the cables inside are paper thin and delicate. Heck, we've even damaged small cables in our early days of repair. Remember, phone manufacturers don’t want you inside working on the phone.
• The aftermarket screens we used are the best option for long term use. It will have the same quality components as the original Apple screen. We therefore can offer a 3 month warranty against any defect in the Digitizer & LCD.
• Cheaper screens are a good choice for short term use, or for someone turning in their phone soon. We have installed them in the past and they have proven to be a good option. Please note: Sometimes this is the ONLY option available for your model phone. We can only offer a 1 month warranty against any defect in the Digitizer & LCD
Please remember, it is rare to find a shop that even offers high quality screens.

iPhone Battery Replacement
We can replace batteries on iPhone 4 through X please read below
On most newer iPhones a Genuine Apple battery is recommended. We are happy to replace the battery on iPhone 4 to X. After iPhone X...if you use an aftermarket battery...you will NOT see the battery health in SETTINGS...the battery will work fine, but most users are not OK with this.
We are able to replace the battery with Apple's Self Repair program...however this can take several days to complete. As we don't stock the parts. Also..there is always the risk of the screen cracking during dissasmbly...so in our opinion...it's just best to have the Apple store take care of this one. Generally this runs around $89 at the Apple Store

iPhone Liquid Damage and other issues
For only a $39 diagnostic fee...we will do our best to get your iPhone back up and running.
Sometimes your iPhone just needs to be opened up and dried out. We have many techniques in drying out your iPhone...and no...a bag of rice isn't one of them.
In many cases the screen needs replacement, in some cases the battery has failed, sometimes the bottom charging port is causing the issue. Apple charges a small fortune if they see any signs that liquid has entered the phone. Did you know there are white sensors inside the iPhone that turn red if there is any moisture in the iPhone?
